Love Me Tender (Lunch Hour)

Today’s lunch was from Tender Greens:

I always order the Chinese Chicken Salad. I sub the chicken for a seared tuna steak.

The salad comes with: Golden Pea Sprouts, Carrot, Wontons, Roasted Peanuts, Carrots, Cilantro, Green Onion, and Sesame Dressing.

It’s super yummy, but there’s one type of greens that they use that I can’t seem to get over. It’s a dark and bitter leaf that tastes like anger. I don’t know why I can’t seem to get into it. So I just pick it out. No harm.

I really like Tender Greens, since I love any pro-salad restaurant. I need to start trying some new items, maybe next time :)

Lunch Hour

One of the amazing and awesome perks about working in a Production Office is the lunches. If you’re the PA doing lunch runs it’s not so stellar (I’ve been that girl) but it’s nice to try so many wonderful LA restaurants from the comfort of my office.

I’m borrowing this post idea from my friend Brittany who did a post series on the lunches she had while working on another feature film in LA.

I’ll do my best to post my lunches, which are always free of meat from four legged and feathered animals.

Here goes:

Mendocino Farms and the best sandwich of my LIFE.

This is a build your own sandwich/salad shop…with other menu items to pick from, but I really enjoy the build your own idea…in food and in stuffed bears (you know what I’m talking about).

I ordered a sandwich on Cranberry Walnut Bread with the following: Spinach, Goat Cheese, Green Apples, and Red Onions.

So amazing. You could put goat cheese on rocks and I would probably eat it, add in some cranberry walnut bread and I’m done.

Happy Eating!
